When & where
Project Move your spirit! started on January 1 and culminated with a youth exchange from July 15 to July 23, 2024, on the Hotel Súkenická in a village Bíla located nearby Slovakia borders in Frýdek-Místek district.
What was the project about
The project aim
The main goal of was to remove stigmas regarding the mental health and rise the awareness about this topic and its importance among young peoples. The addressed idea was to promote that expressing of feelings and emotions is the way to improve our life. It was also put in context with the impact of the social medias, to prevent negative side effects of these platforms on mental health.

The main aims of this project were:

To learn the participants abilities to talk about personal mental problems and to explain that open sharing of the feelings and emotions leads to mental healh improvements.

To raise the awareness about the hidden mechanisms of the social medias to prevent the negative impact of these medias to mental health.

To promote a critical thinking about the content presented on the social medias.

Methods
​​
The project topic was introduced to participants via various non-formal education methods, namely workshops and team games. During these activities the participants dived deep into the problematique of the topic and developed own soft skills like communication, discussion, cooperation and self reflection.

Also several trips were organized to promote the region among the foreign visitors, like Frýdek-Místek or Ostrava city visits and small hiking trip into the mountains. Moreover, several sport activities were incorporated into the program for all project participants.​​
The media outcomes of the project are short movie and photo presentation capturing experiences and progress of the project. Special hashtag was dedicated to dissemination of the project on the social medias.

In total 52 participants, including 3 with fewer opportunities, and 7 groups leaders participated in the project. Workshops were ensured by two university students as the facilitators. All of them were supported by 4 other organizers.

The participant groups consist of young people interested in mindful and healthy life style aware of importance of empathy, tolerance and cooperation.
Outcomes
Impact
​​
The impact of the project targets participants, organizers, partner organizations and the local community. It influenced young people to develop their emotional intelligence, express their feeling openly, critically on their way of life and emphasizes the importance of mental health for their future lives. At the same time the impact is raised awareness about side effects of social media and ability to reflect critically with a distance presented content.
During the project, feedback from participants was continuously collected to rate the arranged activities. Stated activities were ranked as the most memorable and helpful ones:
