Health as a Personal Wealth!
Erasmus+ Youth exchange
25. 2. - 2. 8. 2022, Czech Republic
PROJECT INFO
When & where
Project Health as Personal Wealth! started on February 25 and culminated with a youth exchange from July 24 to August 2, 2022, in a small village called Mokrinky, which is nearby to the city of Opava.
What was it about
The project aim
The project was an international youth exchange, which revolved around prevention of physical and mental health and the provision of first aid.
The main aims of this project were:
-
Explain to participants the importance of prevention and promote interest in their health. This goal will help young people to understand the importance of prevention in two areas - cancer and mental health.
-
To teach young people the basics of first aid and to motivate them not to be afraid to provide first aid.

Methods

During the project we introduced the participants to a wide range of methods, namely non-formal education methods, self-reflection, various types of workshops where participants discussed certain topic, and also used the brainstorming method. Two city-visits also took place; a visit to Frýdek-Místek and a visit to Ostrava. We also organized outdoor activities (rock-climbing, canoeing, water games, etc.). We will also be using energizers and ice-breaking activities, which will be organized with the help of other participating nations.

The output of the project will then be a film about the entire project, a photo gallery, the project's own hashtag and its own website, which will then be used to disseminate the project. Together, 53 young people will participate in the project, including 8 leaders, 2 university students as technical support of the project and 7 participants with fewer opportunities. The target group of participants consists of young people who are interested in a healthy way of life and realize that prevention of physical and mental health is an important aspect of their lives. At the same time, they would like to get acquainted with the current principles of providing first aid in experiential form.
